AML/CTF Amendment Bill Update November 2020

The House of Representatives has passed the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2019 but, in the Senate, the Greens have moved an amendment which will require the inclusion of real estate agents, accountants, and lawyers as designated services regulated by the AML/CTF Act. Background.

Parliament will resume on 30 November 2020 for its final sittings of the year until 10 December.
