In a recent speech ASIC Commissioner Simone Constant stated that ASIC is undertaking active surveillances across wholesale and retail funds to check whether all private credit participants are adopting its 10 principles for private credit (pdf) as a practical benchmark for self-assessment and uplift. She discussed the role of fund managers, institutional investors and superannuation trustees, and valuers, auditors and ratings agencies in ensuring that investors can have confidence that the information and the assessments they are relying on are sound.
