Modernising business communications regulations

The Treasury Laws Amendment (Modernising Business Communications) Regulations 2023 (Cth) have been registered to permit certain documents to be sent in either physical or electronic
form and amend prescriptive requirements to publish notices in newspapers. Background.

The Regulations amend the Corporations Regulations 2001, the Life Insurance Regulations 1995, the National Consumer Credit Protection Regulations 2010 and the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Regulations 1994.

The sending method changes apply from 28 October 2023 and the publication changes commence on 1 January 2024.
